Sometimes we Remember [Remembered]

Sometimes we remember; and sometimes we forget. What happens if we cannot conjure the past in the form of an image? Then we must pull ourselves into the present moment, find value in the useless, and dare to imagine.

Exploring the consciousness of our own memory, this body of work gives physical form to the effort of remembering through an installation that is, in turn, the memory of another installation: a collection of experimental prints derived from abject objects and found objects.

These recalled objects—materialized in a futile act of remembrance on biodegradable plastic panels, or packed in a way that suggests their future consumption—questions how and what we choose to remember, and the extent to which such actions lie within our control.
